This Privacy Policy explains how LedgerLocal ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or use the LedgerLocal desktop application.
On this website: if you join our waitlist, we collect the email address and (optionally) firm name you submit. We do not collect this data automatically — only what you voluntarily enter into the form.
In the LedgerLocal application: LedgerLocal is designed to run 100% offline. The desktop app does not transmit your bank statement PDFs, converted Excel files, or any client financial data to us or to any third-party server. All conversion happens locally on your machine.
The application does use a machine-locked license key tied to a hardware identifier (derived from your device's MAC address and hostname) for license verification. This identifier is generated and verified entirely on your device — it is not sent to us automatically. You share it with us manually (e.g. via email/WhatsApp) only when requesting a license activation key.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
Waitlist submissions are stored in a Supabase-hosted database (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Purchased-license records (machine code, license key, expiry, tier) are stored locally by us for support and seat-tracking purposes, not on any publicly accessible server.
This site does not currently use cookies or third-party analytics. If that changes in the future, this section will be updated to name the tool and explain what it collects.
You can request that we delete your email from our waitlist at any time by contacting us at support@ledgerlocal.com. If you are a licensed user, you may request deactivation of your license and deletion of associated records by contacting the same address.
Waitlist emails are retained until launch communications are complete or until you ask us to remove them. License records are retained for the duration of your license plus a reasonable period for support purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
