These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LedgerLocal website and the LedgerLocal desktop application ("the Software"), provided by LedgerLocal ("we", "us"). By using this website, joining the waitlist, or purchasing/using the Software, you agree to these Terms.
LedgerLocal is a desktop application that converts bank statement PDFs into Excel files. It runs entirely offline on your device. We do not host, store, transmit, or have access to any bank statements, financial data, or Excel files you process using the Software.
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, machine-locked license to install and use the Software on the number of devices corresponding to your purchased tier (Professional: 1 device; Firm: up to 5 devices). You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or decompile the Software.
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy of converted data, fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any converted Excel output against the original bank statement before relying on it — including for accounting, tax, audit, or compliance purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LedgerLocal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to financial loss, data loss, or business interruption, arising from use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.
Because the Software processes files entirely on your local machine, we never receive, view, or store the contents of any bank statement or converted file you process. You remain solely responsible for the security of your own device and files.
All purchases are final and non-refundable once a license key has been issued.
Firm-tier licenses are limited to 5 seats as a contractual condition of purchase. Attempting to activate the Software on more devices than your license permits, sharing license keys outside your organization, or circumventing license verification is a breach of these Terms and may result in license revocation without refund.
We may revoke a license if these Terms are breached (e.g. unauthorized redistribution, exceeding seat limits). You may stop using the Software and request account/data deletion at any time.
We may update the Software (bug fixes, new bank formats, feature changes) and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Botad, Gujarat.
