You already know
this part.
Hours lost retyping. Copying transaction rows out of a scanned PDF by hand, one line at a time, for every statement, every month.
Numbers that don't tie out. A misread digit or a skipped row throws off the closing balance, and nobody notices until reconciliation.
Client data on someone else's server. Most "free" converters online ask you to upload the statement first — bank details, account numbers, transaction history, all of it.
Why it's built this way
Three things this tool will never do.
Not because we couldn't add them — because your clients' bank data has no business going anywhere near a server you don't control.
No cloud upload
The PDF never leaves the machine it's opened on. Conversion happens locally, start to finish — there's no server to send it to, because there isn't one.
No AI involved
Parsing runs on fixed templates built per bank format. The same statement converts the same way every single time — nothing probabilistic, nothing to double-check.
No internet required
Install once. After that it runs fully offline — on a flight, at a client site with no wifi, or behind a firm firewall that blocks everything else.
The process
Three steps. No training required.
STEP 01
Drop in the PDF
Open the app and select the statement — or drag it straight in. Scanned or digital, single account or a batch of them.
STEP 02
Pick the bank & format
Choose the bank and statement format from the dropdown — savings, current, old layout, new layout. LedgerLocal uses a fixed template built for that exact format, so the columns line up right every time: date, narration, debit, credit, balance.
STEP 03
Get your Excel file
A clean, formatted spreadsheet lands in your output folder — ready to file, import to Tally, or hand to your client.
Reads statements from the banks you actually work with.
New formats get added as they come up. If a client's bank isn't on the list yet, email us on support@ledgerlocal.com.

Questions
Before you ask
Do I need an internet connection to use it?+
Only once, to download and install it. After that, every conversion happens entirely on your machine — you can turn off wifi and it works exactly the same.
Where does my client's data go?+
Nowhere. There's no server involved in the conversion — the PDF is read and written to Excel locally, and nothing is transmitted anywhere at any point.
Is any AI or machine learning used to read the statement?+
No. Each supported bank has a fixed, hand-built template that defines exactly where the columns are. That's deliberate — it means the same statement produces the same output every time, with nothing left to a model's judgment.
What if my bank isn't in the supported list?+
Reach out and let us know which bank you need. New formats get added regularly — Lifetime license holders (Professional or Firm) get every new template automatically, and Lite holders get them too as long as their yearly renewal is active.
Can I install it on more than one computer?+
Each license covers one active install. If you need it on more machines — say, a desktop and a laptop — the Firm plan covers 5 seats at once, or reach out for additional single seats.
What happens if I choose Lite and don't renew?+
Nothing breaks. The app keeps working exactly as it does today, on every bank format you already have — no lockout, no expiry warning, no nagging. The optional yearly renewal (₹1,000 for Professional Lite, ₹2,999 for Firm Lite's 5 seats) simply gets you new bank formats and fixes as they're released; skip a year and you're just frozen on your current version until (if ever) you renew.
Does it work with scanned (image) PDFs, not just digital ones?+
Best results come from digital PDF statements downloaded directly from net banking. Scanned statements can work depending on scan quality — worth testing with the free trial first.
